Store credentials
Learn how to store credentials and how to use them.
Initially, the customer is in session and enters their payment credentials to store them for subsequent payments. The customer has to explicitly agree for the credentials to be used for future payments.
Some of the examples for storing credentials are:
- add a payment method to a user account for further customer initiated payments (CIT) - buying goods, services, content
- add a payment method to start a subscription for a good, service or content delivery
- add a payment method to load wallet balance either manually or automated
Payment credentials can be stored in the Unzer API by creating a payment resource (internal tokenization).
