In some cases, you as a merchant can trigger a transaction in the background without the customer in session. You must use a valid customer initiated transaction as a reference where the customer has explicitly agreed to use these stored credentials for recurring payments for a specific amount and time period.
Some of the examples for storing credentials are:
- subscription business to deliver goods
- subscription business to deliver services
- subscription business to deliver content
