WeChat Pay

Learn more about WeChat Pay and its workflow

WeChat pay is a Chinese payment method tied to the most popular messaging service in China. Your customer pays via QR code using either the balance from their WeChat wallet or a bank account linked to the wallet. Many Chinese customers use WeChat as their primary app for most of their mobile needs, so they naturally find it the most convenient way to pay.

If you serve many Chinese customers, it is strongly recommended that you offer WeChat Pay.

As a merchant, you must have your own WeChat account to offer this payment method.

Step 2: Make a charge transaction with the WeChat Pay resource that you created.

Step 3: Forward the customer to the redirectUrl that is displayed in the charge response.

Step 4: Once the customer makes the Alipay, redirect the customer to the returnURL specified in the initial charge call.
