Prepayment is a safe and convenient payment method for merchants. The merchant ships their goods not until customers paid their order via bank transfer. Unzer offers to check for received funds and commence matching.

Advantages
- Ease of use: The customer can go through the checkout without providing their payment method details - the merchant’s account number will be provided in the end and can be used to send the money via customer’s bank account.
- High level of security: Customers usually cannot cancel bank transfers and therefore no payment interruptions should be expected.
- Internationally supported: Customers from all around the world can transfer funds via prepayment.

Payment workflow
The following diagram explains workflow for Prepayment payments.
Step 1: Create a prepayment payment type resource.
A resource ID is generated in the response and is used in the workflow to complete the payment.
Step 2: Make a charge transaction with the prepayment resource that you created.
Step 3: After the transaction, display the result (mainly contains the payment information) to the customer in the front end of the online shop.
