Consumer credit information in checkout
Find out what your checkout needs to show from 20 November 2026 and what to change in your integration.
What is changing
As part of CCD2, from 20 November 2026 all consumer-facing checkouts need to show mandatory consumer credit information to the customer.
Until now, this applied to Unzer Installment only. Now it applies to:
- Unzer Invoice
- Unzer Installment
- Unzer Direct Debit
What your customers need to see
Show this information in your checkout before the customer confirms the order. What you need to show depends on the payment method.
Unzer Invoice
- A download link for the SECCI document.
Unzer Direct Debit
- A download link for the SECCI document.
- The SEPA mandate information.
Unzer Installment
- Show the available installment plans. For each plan, show:
| Field | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Order amount | The value of the order. |
| Repayment month count | The number of months the customer pays installments. |
| Monthly installment amount | The amount the customer pays each month. |
| Last payment amount | The amount of the last installment. |
| Interest rate | The interest rate of the plan. |
| Interest amount | The total interest the customer pays. |
| Total amount | The order amount plus all fees and interest. |
| SECCI document | A download link for the SECCI document of this plan. |
- For installment plans in EUR, also show the SEPA mandate information.
What is the SECCI document?
SECCI stands for Standard European Consumer Credit Information. It is a standard form that gives your customer the key information about the credit before they agree to it. Your customer must be able to download it in the checkout.
What to do: Unzer server-side-only integration and UI Components (PAPI)
If you integrate directly against the Unzer Payment API, you show the information in your own checkout.
- Get the SECCI document from the plan details from the Unzer Payment API. See:
- Show the information for each payment method, as listed in What your customers need to see.
- Make sure everything is shown before the customer confirms the order.
- Test a checkout with Unzer Invoice, Unzer Installment and Unzer Direct Debit.
What to do: Payolution API, PayOn Wrapper and PSP integrations
If you integrate via the Payolution API or the PayOn Wrapper, over either the XML or the POST interface, you show the information in your own checkout. Check the updated Payolution API documentation.
What to do: Unzer Payment Page
Payment Page v1. Payment Page v1 does not show the consumer credit information. Please upgrade your integration to Payment Page v2 before 20 November 2026.
Payment Page v2, Unzer Instore, Unzer plugins that use Payment Page v2. Payment Page v2 will have the needed information for your checkout. There is nothing for you to do.
Legacy Payolution plugins need migrating
Legacy Payolution plugins will not be updated to show the consumer credit information. Please migrate to an Unzer plugin, listed in the plugin documentation.
What to do: Unzer (PAPI) plugins
We are updating the Unzer plugins to show the consumer credit information for you. When a new version is available, we add it to the plugin version support table.
